BOARDROOM was created by Dave Liu, author of Say It This Way, a book written to help the people of Taiwan communicate more effectively in business English by recognizing cultural pitfalls and applying key tactics.

Born in Taiwan, Dave emigrated from Taiwan to the United States as a child. He has a BA in Economics, BA in Political Science, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. Dave has worked with global companies from both Taiwan and the US, including: 

Apple, Microsoft, Intel, AMD, Amazon, BestBuy, Office Depot, Staples, Walmart, Google, Costco, HP, ASUS, Foxconn, Vizio, Shuttle, ATEN, Newegg, Synnex, and Ingram Micro. 

As a seasoned executive, Dave has over 20 years of experience managing, collaborating, and getting things done with multicultural teams in sales, marketing, business development, product development, project management, e-commerce, hardware/software engineering, legal, and finance. Dave also helps small businesses and manufacturers from Taiwan grow in the US with his consulting firm.

Having worked with hundreds of business professionals, Dave has found the most successful business professionals are effective communicators. These individuals know how to speak, when to speak, and what to say. They close more deals. They get more projects done on time. They typically also get more opportunities for career advancements because they are perceived as more competent, intelligent, and trustworthy.
